As a small rescue we rely on your donations
0% goes towards salaries—yes, zero! Large or small contributions help our horses, and we appreciate them immensely. The rescue is run by Lisa Mallory and Bill Finger, a husband-and-wife team, and their volunteers.
Primary medical care, food, and farrier services for a horse without special needs are approximately $6,000 annually. Currently, we have nine horses to care for, one of which has special needs (about $12,000 annually), so their basic care for one year is over $60,000! That does not include all the farm maintenance, fuel, equipment, fence repair, stall maintenance, utilities, grooming equipment and products, fly spray, and many more incidental things it takes to run a horse rescue. Halfway to Heaven Rescue ultimately depends on donations from the public, and all contributions are tax-deductible.
